— Three Programmes
Choose the programme that fits your household's collection and pace.
From a three-hour single session to a year-long quarterly engagement — all curatorial, all producing printed records, all conducted in your home.
Back to Home— Our Approach
How a Legacara programme works.
Every Legacara programme begins with a written exchange — a short correspondence in which the household describes, in general terms, what it holds and what it hopes to achieve. This shapes the session plan and helps the facilitator arrive with the appropriate label materials and catalogue framework in place.
During the in-home session, the facilitator works alongside family members to lay out objects, documents, and photographs. Each item is discussed, named, dated where memory permits, and assigned a catalogue entry. The facilitator records the household's own words and names for things; the catalogue is the household's vocabulary, not an external classification system imposed on it.
At the close of every session, a printed record is produced and handed over. For longer programmes, the records folder and timeline are updated at each check-in and the complete document is provided at the close of the programme. Nothing is retained by Legacara unless the household explicitly requests it.
Pre-session correspondence
A brief written exchange to understand the collection and set up the session framework.
In-home facilitated session
Objects and documents laid out, discussed, named, dated, and assigned to catalogue entries.
Printed record produced
A catalogue or labelled folder is printed and handed over at the close of each session or programme.
Post-session follow-up note
A brief written note summarising what was recorded and any items the household wished to continue with.
— Programme 01
Single-Session Household Heritage Catalogue
A three-hour in-home session in which a household catalogues the objects, photographs, and documents that have moved between generations — naming, dating where possible, and recording their place in the household. The session produces a printed catalogue. It is organisational and curatorial; it does not interpret any document and does not provide professional counsel.
- Three-hour in-home facilitated session
- Printed heritage catalogue with accession references
- Object labelling and approximate dating
- Multilingual entries included
- Post-session written follow-up note
Programme fee
RM 590Best suited for
Households with a contained collection of objects and documents who want a clear starting record without a longer commitment.
— Programme 02
Four-Session Records Curation Programme
A four-session programme over two months in which a household sets up a shared, structured records folder — identification, household papers, family contact list, and a printed family timeline. Sessions are organisational. The programme does not interpret documents and does not draft, prepare, or process legal papers. Households leave with a labelled folder and a printed family timeline.
- Four facilitated in-home sessions over two months
- Structured and labelled household records folder
- Printed family timeline
- Family contact list integrated into the folder
- All label materials and printed outputs included

A year-long programme designed to keep a household's records folder and heritage catalogue up to date through quarterly facilitated sessions. Includes an initial setup, three quarterly check-ins, and a closing annual review. The programme is organisational and curatorial throughout. Households receive a structured records folder and an updated heritage catalogue at the end of the year.

- Structured records folder maintained throughout
- New items recorded at each quarterly session

— Standards Across All Programmes
What every Legacara programme holds to.
Household privacy and data handling
Nothing encountered during a session is copied, retained, or referenced outside the household's record without written consent. Facilitators do not carry images or copies of documents away from the session.
Archival entry standards
Each catalogue entry follows a consistent format: item name, approximate date, description, current location within the household, and an accession reference. The format is the same across all three programmes and all four languages accommodated.
Non-advisory boundary
Legacara does not interpret documents or offer opinions on their validity or significance. If a household needs professional interpretation of any document, they are directed to the appropriate qualified practitioner.
Physical, durable printed outputs
All records produced by Legacara are printed on archival-quality paper stock. They are formatted for legibility and designed to remain usable without any digital dependency for the foreseeable future.
Multilingual facilitation
Sessions and catalogue entries are produced in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, or Jawi as required. Households may mix languages within a single catalogue and entries are formatted accordingly.
In-home delivery, no transport needed
All sessions take place at the household's address. No objects or documents are required to leave the home during or after any session.
